Police reported that a woman on Saturday morning found her three babies all under the age of 5 years severely stabbed to death in one apartment in Los Angeles apartment.
According to the Los Angeles police Sgt. David Bambrick who talked to KNBC-TV, the grandmother found the three babies dead after they were stabbed inside an apartment in the Reseda neighborhood.
Bambrick had initially claimed that the children were below 3 years old although the Los Angeles Police Department tweeted that the young ones appeared to be under the age of 5 years.
Bambrick of the LAPD’s West Valley Division further stated that the unfortunate incident was discovered at around 9:30 a.m. in the 8000 block of Reseda Boulevard, disclosing that homicide detectives from LAPD Homicide Division will pick up the matter and investigate it.
In the meantime, authorities didn’t release any information about the motive or suspect but sought the public’s help locating 30-year-old Liliana Carrillo, who they said was “a person of interest” in the case, the department said in a tweet.
Further, the department revealed that it had gotten reports that Carillo had committed a crime of carjacking in Bakersfield on Saturday. As a result, they believe that he may be driving a stolen silver Toyota pickup.
This shooting come in the wake of a similar incident that happened a few days ago where a gunman indiscriminately sprayed bullets in Atlanta on March 16th, leading to injury of eight people.
According to investigators who did not issue the motives behind the killings, they said that Alissa had committed the crime alone.
“It would be premature for us to draw any conclusions at this time,” said Michael Schneider, the agent in charge of the FBI’s field office in Denver.
In the meantime, the suspect Alissa was to be taken to jail awaiting court appearance after being discharged from the hospital.
