48000 Kenyan shilling was the initial deposit given Ouma after Mary Onyango had identified the furniture she wanted.

Both amounts were paid to Ouma between February 15th and March 15th this year.

How did Walter Ouma find himself in court?
Mary realized that something was not right after making several visits to Ouma’s workshop, located in Dagoreti Nairobi.
A month after he had received 78k, Walter had not started working on the said furniture. Mary was tired of being taken around.
