South Mugirango member of parliament Sylvanus Osoro was allegedly arrested in the morning on his way to the Gusii stadium however, the legislator’s social media accounts have remained active, making many people wonder how it would be possible to be arrested while at the same time get the opportunity to use his phone.
After his alleged arrest, Mr. Osoro wrote: “Intimidation and threats will fail!!! #HustlerForHustlers #Hustlernation.”
According to some sources, the member of parliament was arrested for suspicion of planning to cause violence during the burial of the late Simeon Nyachae.
Further, Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi was also arrested at Kisii High School where he was waiting for Deputy President William Ruto.
Maangi’s arrest was confirmed by an aide who said that the detectives ordered Maangi to enter their car before they sped off to the CID offices in Kisii town for grilling.
However, County Police Commander Mr. Jebel Munene could not be reached on phone as it remained off.
“We don’t know why they arrested him, they did not give reason why they were picking him for, they only told him to enter theit car before they left to Central Police Station where they are interrogating him,” stated Maangi’s aide.
The arrest came few weeks after the Dagoretti North member of parliament Simba Arati and South Mugirango counterpart Silvanus Osoro literally entertained guests by fighting during the burial of the father of Joash Maangi.

As a result, there were fears from the security agencies that he would cause violence during the burial of Mr. Simeon Nyachae.
The problem began when Mr. Osoro ambushed Simba Arati on stage over some remarks that he made against the Kenyan deputy president William Ruto.
