The posters dubbed “Chagua Magufuli “(Elect Magufuli) were removed one by one as they felt on the ground, leaving many people around the world questioning why they were too quick to do it when the memory of his death is still fresh in people’s mind.

The President of the Republic of Tanzania died last month with the Vice president Samia Suluhu Hassan confirming the sad news in a night press briefing that Magufuli had succumbed to heart complications.

Magufuli had not been seen in public since February 27, 2021 this year which caused a lot of pandemonium with people speculating about his health and well-being.

Key personalities who attended today’s burial in Chato were the recently sworn in president Samia Suluhu Hassa, former Presidents Jakaya Kikwete and Ali Hassan Mwinyi. Besides, the burial was attended by all the cabinet ministers who were serving in the late president’s government.

Neighboring countries in the African region also sent their representatives to eulogize with the former Tanzanian head of state.

While laying flowers on the fresh grave of John Pombe Magufuli, his wife Janeth who could not come into terms with the unfortunate event shed tears of grief.

In the meantime, opposition leader Tundu Lissu claimed that Magufuli died of Coronavirus while castigating him for not handling the Coronavirus pandemic with the seriousness it deserved.

“He defied the East African community, he defied all our neighbors, he defied science, he refused to take the basic precaution that people all over the world are being told to take in fight against corona. President Magufuli did not wear face masks, he actually degraded anyone that wore face masks, he did not believe in the vaccine, he did not believe in science, he placed his faith in faith healers and herbal concoctions of dubious medical value.” he said.
