Lamar Odom has shocked the world with his unique way of mourning rapper DMX claiming that his death was part of a bigger plan.
The former NBA icon who also suffered from drug overdose in 2015 believes that the death of rapper DMX will not go in vain since it will significantly help people in the entertainment industry who are similarly battling drug addiction.
“My brother, the fight is over you gained your wings ~ you changed the rap game, one of the greatest to ever do it 👊🏾🔥,” he wrote before saying the rapper’s passing is part of “a bigger plan.” Posted the 41-year-old Lamar Odom who reflected about the late DMX.
“Your death will bring life to so many of us celebrities who are ridiculed publicly but suffer silently with the struggle of addiction. Mental Health Awareness is a must in our communities and maybe now after losing another G.O.A. T we can create real platforms with real solutions to address this, we can’t lose another DMX 💪🏾.” He added.
Just like rapper DMX, Lamar Odom was equally admitted in an hospital in a vegetative state back in 2015 after he suffered a drug overdose.
According to a statement, the veteran rapper died “with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days.” They further said that he succumbed to “catastrophic cardiac arrest.
Rapper and actor DMX whose real name is Earl Simmons was put on life support on Sunday afternoon where he had been in a vegetative state for a long period of time following his admission.
He died at the age of 50 with his lawyer Murray Richman describing him as an amazing person whose presence could be felt whenever he entered a place.
