While speaking after hosting a delegation of Mount Kenya youths, the president took a swipe at his deputy with regards to how he is lying to the youths by offering them handouts and wheelbarrows.

“Then you say we know the problem of Kenyan youth, that you want to help them by giving them wheelbarrows, who told you that the youth need wheelbarrows? What they need are jobs; they want to be independent,” Uhuru said

Uhuru added that youths should be helped by ensuring that money meant for them reaches them wherever they are.

“If you are truly intentional about helping the youth, how about you ensure that funds from the government actually get to the ground?” Asked the president.

The head of state further castigated those claiming that BBI is for his handshake partner Raila Odinga, reminding them that the opposition leader has nothing much to gain from the BBI.
